This is a presentation of the patent image retrieval engine PatMedia developed by the Informatics and Telematics Institute. PatMedia is capable of retrieving patent images based on visual similarity, textual description and concept information. Demos are available at:

In this paper we examine the needs and behaviours of individuals across a range of search and discovery scenarios within various types of enterprise.
